Tech & Parks

For many, parks are a space to disconnect and fully immerse in nature. Yet technology and data provide exciting opportunities to attract and engage diverse, nontraditional park users. Technological breakthroughs, such as citizen science apps, virtual reality platforms, and gamification, have shown the potential to bring new users to the parks, but these solutions need more exploration and dialogue.

The Institute is beginning to explore how we can help park agencies be at the forefront of this shift, adopting forward-thinking solutions that help connect all people to nature while living in an increasingly digital world.
