Climate Education Trainings

The Institute is changing the way environmental educators talk about climate change by highlighting local climate impacts, bringing in universal values, and encouraging audiences to tap into collective community actions. Through the climate education workshops, we are training park staff and program leaders to have conversations about climate change in the parks, positioning parks as a physical asset and learning tool. These trainings workshops examine the opportunities that parks have as climate classrooms, provide practical tools, and help overcome common barriers to discussing climate change.
